What General Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records and preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Accountabilities in this role
Review customer contracts, which includes accurately interpreting and applying contract language, along with calculating and executing rebate payments
Work closely and cross-functionally with other business segments, such as Contract Administration, Finance, Sales and Legal teams regarding customer contracts and calculations pertaining to rebates
Utilize SAP Business Objects reporting tool to create, edit, and execute sales data reports and other metrics
Perform account reconciliations for Month End close processes related to prepaid and liability balance sheet accounts
Month End Close functions (i.e. creating, calculating, and posting journal entry accruals, customer analytics, etc.)
Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
2+ years experience in related field
